Honour Roll: September, 2009

Skyblueteapot has rocketed into the top five from fifteenth last month. VeraI is back in top form and stronger than ever. Annett has also quietly moved into the top ten after finishing out of the Honour Roll in August. However the story again is Dilemme. He maintains his number one spot for the fourth month running. But his lead is not quite as dominant as it used to be with ejlife, from Taiwan, coming up close behind. 

October will be the end of the ninth month of Obama's term in office and will round out the anniversary of his election. Whatever side we supported at the time, we should be involved politically in our communities to promote well-being for all. Learning languages is one of the best ways to break down barriers in communication. Let's get motivated to learn more for the good of society as a whole.

Honour Roll: August, 2009

Learners from Asia make up a lot of the new top ten entries in the August Honour Roll.  Dilemme, the new power user at LingQ, keeps his number one position. Ejlife takes second. Steve, the lone Canadian, powers into third place. Ymoteki comes from nowhere to take fourth. And Cantotango takes up residence in the top five. Thanks again to jeff_lindqvist and all the rest of the LingQ Honour Roll regulars for rounding out the top ten.

Back in the saddle is the theme for September. We are getting into a new school year. Let's use the memories of back-to-school to get back-to-LingQ. One challenge I present is to think of ways that you can use your LingQ account to study your regular college courses, or if you are working, to handle technical documents that may require attention to detail.   Let's all enjoy the fall back-to-LingQ energy!

The Dutch Dominate!
For the second month in a row, a member from Holland is the Learner of the Month. This month darbanville makes the leap to 1st place on the Activity List from 17th place last month. Truus., last month's winner, also from the Netherlands came in a close second. Congratulations to you both and to all of you on the Honour Roll!
