Why does the formatting of my text change when importing?

Sometimes, when importing text into LingQ from a Word file or a webpage, the formatting in the original text doesn't seem to save properly. This makes the saved content display strangely. This can happen especially when there are images or strange formatting on the page. Whenever possible try to cut and paste from a clean version of your text, for example a "printer version". Also, after importing your text, click on the "clean up messy code" button or paintbrush button circled below. This will display the funny text or code, as circled in the example below, that you must delete in order to have your text display properly.
